iPad Mini Could be Available on November 2

Following the pending announcement of the iPad Mini on October 23, Apple could be launching the device just a week later on November 2.

According to Geeky Gadget's source who is "close to a major UK retailer", Apple will continue its track record of releasing new products on a Friday, around 10 days after unveiling it during an event.

Apple recently confirmed a media event for next Tuesday, with invitations reading, "We've got a little more to show you". It's widely believed that a new 7.8-inch iPad Mini will be announced on the aforementioned date, with a price reportedly due to be between $250 and $300.

If the November 2 release date is true, the highly coveted holiday shopping season will offer consumers a batch of enticing tablets at competitive prices. Microsoft's Surface, which has an already-sold-out model priced at $499, is due for a release on October 26, while Google also has their $250 Nexus 7 tablet available, with a $99 model purportedly in the offing.

Best Buy, meanwhile, will launch its Insignia Flex tablet on November 11, with a price range rumored to be between $239 and $259.

Not really sure. Hard to tell in these early years since the the internet, media, PC and phone are all evolving into one single product.

I actually favor iOS, it's just that my iPod Touch 4G goes really slow, and apps/games constantly crash.

I wonder if tablet makers and/or Google will pull an "Apple" and sue Apple for copying their smaller tablets and try to get their iPad mini banned.
