MicroSD platform faces issues when moving to higher densities

With major handset vendor Motorola aggressively adopting MicroSD cards for its handsets, memory card makers see potential in the market segment. However, there are concerns about the production requirements for higher density cards, as one of the present NAND flash chip production strategies, of stacking single level cells to achieve higher densities, still faces production barriers.
