Earlier this year, we took a detailed look at different anti-aliasing technologies in Part 1 of this series. In Part 2, we test all of those modes in order to get an accurate picture of the performance hit we can expect when it comes to using each one.
Multi-Sample Anti-Aliasing: 1920x1080
At 1920x1080, the GeForce GTX 570 and Radeon HD 6970 manage to maintain more than 40 FPS with the highest MSAA settings available. However, owners of lower-end cards need to dial back graphics detail and MSAA levels to deliver a playable experience.
