The user is required to do a lot of work. To install the CPU cooler, the motherboard has to be removed. Then, the P4 retention module is removed. Four spacer bolts are then mounted on the board at this point.

Water block and fastening screws
The CPU cooler is then pushed over the bolts and secured from above with springs and screwed tight. Here it is important to make sure the screws are not screwed too tightly, hand-tight is enough. Otherwise the motherboard might bend, causing lasting damage. In the test, the PC system became very instable if the screws were too tight.
