The packaging of the Abit IC7-G says the subtle approach is in!

Like most of the other test participants, Abit also relies on CSA technology and pays license fees to Intel - as a result there is a gigabit LAN chip that is linked to the Northbridge.

A few brief details about the equipment features: a FireWire chip from TI (TSB 43AB23), an additional RAID Controller for Serial-ATA from Silicon Image and a sound chip from Realtek (ALC650) for 5.1 Audio are integrated on the motherboard. As Abit provides a factory-integrated RAID function for Serial-ATA in the case of the Intel Southbridge, the user can access four Serial-ATA connections altogether. At any rate, a highlight of the motherboard is the control of the CPU and Northbridge fans, which is integrated into the hardware (BIOS). Therefore, you can automatically reduce the rotational speed if less heat is produced, thus leading to a lower noise level.
