The semiconductor market in 2006 will strengthen on mounting demand for chips used in multiple segments including several areas beyond typical computer applications, following a flat year in 2005, market research firm Databeans anticipates.
Seasonally, the first quarter is strong for the more traditional semiconductor markets, including the industrial and automotive segments, Databeans said.
